Why we built this site

Most "best hotels in Dubai" articles are written by people who have never been to Dubai. They list the same five luxury brands, recycle press kit photos, and never mention the things that actually matter — like whether the AC works on the highest setting in August, how long the walk to the beach really takes in 42°C heat, or whether that "rooftop pool" is open after sunset.

We started HotelsDubaiUAE because we kept seeing friends and family book the wrong hotel for their trip. They'd arrive expecting a quick walk to Dubai Mall and end up in a 25-minute taxi ride. They'd book a "beachfront" hotel and discover the beach was a thin strip of imported gravel across a six-lane road. We thought: someone should just tell people the truth.

So we did. Every guide on this site is written from a Dubai resident's perspective — not a press release.

What we do

HotelsDubaiUAE is an independent travel information website. We publish neighborhood guides, hotel comparisons, and practical travel advice for visitors planning a trip to Dubai. We cover everything from luxury resorts on Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina to budget-friendly stays in JVC and Deira.

We do not sell rooms, take bookings, or process payments. When you find a hotel you like on our site, we link you to trusted third-party platforms like Booking.com where you can check live availability and complete your reservation. They handle the transaction — we just help you choose well.

How we evaluate hotels

Our reviews and rankings are based on a combination of:

• First-hand visits and stays by our editorial team across Dubai's main hotel districts
• Verified guest review analysis — we read hundreds of recent reviews on Booking.com, TripAdvisor, and Google to identify consistent patterns (both good and bad)
• On-the-ground checks for things review sites miss: real walking distances, metro proximity, taxi access, neighborhood noise levels, beach access, and pool sun exposure
• Price tracking across seasons so our budget guidance reflects what you'll actually pay, not the rack rate

We update our guides regularly because Dubai's hotel scene changes fast — new properties open, old ones renovate, and prices shift dramatically between peak and shoulder seasons.

Our editorial independence

We earn a small commission when readers book a hotel through our affiliate links to Booking.com. This is how we keep the site running and free to use. It does not influence which hotels we recommend.

Who we are

HotelsDubaiUAE is run by a small editorial team based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Our writers are long-term UAE residents with backgrounds in travel writing, hospitality, and local journalism. We have collectively lived in the UAE for over a decade and have personally stayed in or visited the majority of hotels we cover.

We keep our team small on purpose. It means every guide is written or reviewed by someone who knows Dubai personally — not outsourced to writers who have never set foot in the city.
